At Table Ordering by EDI PLUS

EDI PLUS are pleased to announce the launch of a free service to assist Hospitality Outlets to achieve Covid-19 restrictions while re-opening. 

The service combines At Table Ordering with Track & Trace compliance.

At Table Ordering allows customers to order their food/drinks using their smartphones. This helps avoid queues for At Counter/Bar Ordering, and minimises the time spent by waiters/waitresses at tables.

Besides placing their order, customers can also securely record their contact details. As and when required, EDI PLUS then share this data with the NHS Test & Trace team, or delete it after 21 days. Benefits for the customers include data security and peace of mind, and it saves the Outlet having to manage customers’ confidential personal data.

Outlets can self-register on the service website, and straightaway set up their menu, define their tables, and print a unique QR code for each table.

Customers simply scan the QR Code on their table and order online from the displayed menu. There is no need to download any App.

Orders and payment are then processed by the staff as normal. The service can be used by any Hospitality Outlets serving Food and Drinks – Restaurants, Cafes, Bars, Pubs, Hotels, etc.

There is no need to purchase specific hardware and, if organisations register to use the software before 18^th July, the software itself is Free to Use until the end of 2020.

So, there’s absolutely nothing to lose and, potentially, an awful lot to gain.
