Poland's Mandatory E-Invoicing via KSeF: What Businesses Need to Know
Poland is taking a major step in its digital tax transformation with the introduction of mandatory structured e-invoicing through the Krajowy System e-Faktur (KSeF). Beginning in 2026, KSeF will become the mandatory platform for issuing B2B invoices, replacing traditional paper and PDF invoices.
For businesses operating in or trading with Poland, now is the time to start preparing.
Key Implementation Dates
The rollout will take place in phases:
- 1 February 2026 – Mandatory for large taxpayers with annual revenue exceeding PLN 200 million
- 1 April 2026 – Mandatory for all other VAT-registered businesses
- 1 January 2027 – Mandatory for micro-entrepreneurs
From 1 April 2026, all B2B invoices issued by VAT-registered businesses will need to be created and submitted through the KSeF platform.
Why Preparation Matters
Transitioning to KSeF is more than a regulatory requirement—it also requires businesses to review and adapt their invoicing processes, ERP systems, and integrations. Early preparation can help organizations:
- Ensure compliance with the new requirements
- Minimize disruption to invoicing operations
- Streamline invoice processing and reporting
- Improve efficiency through digital automation
